Meet Dr. Howlett

Dr. Christopher L. Howlett and his wife, Elizabeth, grew up together in Evans, Georgia just a few miles outside of Augusta. He attended Augusta State University (now Augusta University) and graduated Cum Laude with a major in Biology and minor in Chemistry. His Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree was completed at the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry (now the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University). While in dental school Dr. Howlett graduated in the top of his class and received the Ronald Goldstein Esthetic Dentistry Award. Following his graduation, Dr. Howlett completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program at the Medical College of Georgia, School of Dentistry. Within the AEGD, he received extensive training in surgery, dental implant placement, restorative dentistry, and IV sedation. Additionally, he gained the valuable experience of working with medically compromised patients and performing procedures in a hospital setting. Dr. Howlett is a member of the American Dental Association, the South Carolina Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentists, and the Hinman Society. Due to the substantial amount of implants Dr. Howlett has placed throughout his residency and in private practice he received his Fellowship in the International Congress of Oral Implantologists (ICOI) in 2012.

Dr. Howlett is a part time Clinical Instructor at the Dental College of Georgia at Augusta University, in the AEGD/General Practice Residency program. He enjoys teaching residents all aspects of dentistry including restorative dentistry, implant surgery, bone grafting, and IV sedation.

In his free time, Dr. Howlett enjoys spending time with his wife and daughters, Reagan, Ansley, and Chandler, doing home improvement projects, cycling, and snow skiing.
